BrandMotion Lab glossary
This glossary defines the words used in the interface and in the guides. Each definition describes how the service really works and links to the guide with the details.
Plans and payment
- Token
- Unit that pays for module actions. Each plan includes some every month; an action’s cost is shown before the debit. Tokens and top-ups
- Top-up
- Batch of tokens bought on top of the plan. Reserved for active subscribers. Tokens and top-ups
- Kept tokens
- Tokens left on the account without an active subscription: they are not deleted but cannot be used. Subscription: plan, tokens and payments
- Logo Pack
- One-off purchase for one creation: concepts, then up to 3 vector logos and their file pack. It does not open the modules reserved for subscribers. Create your logo: describe, explore, choose, receive
- Acquisition
- Token purchase of the clean files of a logo from the generator. Generate logos with your tokens
Creation
- Concept
- Logo proposal as a watermarked preview, to compare before choosing. The free account receives 6. Create your logo: describe, explore, choose, receive
- Watermarked preview
- Working image with a watermark. Clean files depend on the plan or a purchase. Downloads: get your logos by project
- Vector SVG
- File that scales without loss. Delivered by the Logo Pack and the Vectorized Pro Logo; the token generator’s colour SVG embeds an image. Which file for which use?
- Monochrome
- Single-colour version of the logo, black or white, for busy backgrounds or engraving. Which file for which use?
- Favicon
- Small browser-tab icon. The pack includes it only if a symbol can be isolated from the logo. Free favicon generator
- Beta
- Module you can use but that is still evolving; the guide says so at the top.
Organisation
- Active brand
- Brand selected at the top of the screen. Modules, the library and the Brand Kit work for it. Getting started: dashboard, menu and brands
- Project
- Folder of a creation: generated logos, choices and deliveries. Projects and logos: find your generations
- Library
- All the brands’ files: logos, kits, visuals, animations, videos, sounds and uploads. Library: all your brand files
- Brand Kit
- The brand’s guidelines: colours, typefaces and logo usage rules. Brand Kit: your brand guidelines
- Mockup
- The logo shown in context on an item (card, sign, clothing…). Mockups: your logo on real items
Frequently asked questions
Are tokens and API credits the same?
No. Tokens pay for modules; the API uses each key’s monthly credits.
Is a concept a final logo?
No, it is a watermarked preview. The final logo is delivered after your choice.
